Naagin (transl. Female serpent) is an Indian Hindi-language supernatural fantasy thriller television series produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms. Spanning six seasons, the series airs on Colors TV and traces the lives of shape-shifting serpents. The first season aired from 1 November 2015 to 5 June 2016. It starred Mouni Roy, Arjun Bijlani, Adaa Khan. The second season aired from 8 October 2016 to 25 June 2017. It starred Mouni Roy, Karanvir Bohra, Adaa Khan, Kinshuk Mahajan. The third season aired from 2 June 2018 to 26 May 2019.] It starred Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri, Anita Hassanandani, Rajat Tokas. The fourth season was introduced with a new title Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel. It aired from 14 December 2019 to 8 August 2020. It starred Nia Sharma, Vijayendra Kumeria. The fifth season aired from 9 August 2020 to 6 February 2021.It starred Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra, Mohit Sehgal. The sixth season will be premiered on 30 January 2022. Shivanya and Shesha are naagins who decide to avenge the death of Shivanya’s parents for by the Raheja family. Shivanya anyway enters the Rajputs mansion as a househelp by impressing the family’s elder son Ritik, who is engaged to his friend Tanvi. Later when Shesha lives temporarily in Shivanya’s form with Ritik, she also feels a special attraction towards and falls for him. Yamini, who is revealed to be the mastermind and fifth murderer, learns about this and turns Shesha against Shivanya. They frame her for murder to provoke Ritik against her. But as he learns the truth, he and Shivanya confess their love and consummate which makes Shivanya lose her powers. Sangram kills himself to give Shivanya her powers back. Shivanya kills Yamini, defeats Shesha and protects the Naagmani. Shivanya delivers her daughter, Shivangi in the third month of her pregnancy which shocks the doctors. Yamini is resurrected. Shivangi grows up with Shivanya and falls in love with Rocky, Yamini’s foster son. Yamini murders Shivanya which provokes Shivangi and she decides to avenge her mother. Rocky joins Shivangi to kill Shesha and Yamini, but ultimately kills Shivangi under orders from Ritik. Shivangi feels betrayed and takes an oath to find out the truth about her death. Naagrani Ruhi unites with her lover Vikrant after 100 years and they are set to marry each other. However, Yuvraj and his friends molest Ruhi and attack Vikrant leading to his death. Ruhi is distraught but she vows to return for revenge. Vishakha Khanna, a rich investor arrives and attempts to kill Yuvraj, but he manages to survive. Mahir is compelled to marry Bela who is revealed to be Ruhi. She falls in love with Mahir. On finding out the truth about Bela’s identity, Mahir is shattered. He loses his memory and forgets Bela after Sumitra bites him…
